MEET our dog of the week, Angus, who is looking for a loving, forever home.

The five-year-old Lurcher, sadly, arrived at Dogs Trust Merseyside having been found as a stray.

He has been at the rehoming centre for a month and is described by its staff as 'a lively, friendly boy who has settled well and loves nothing more than being made a fuss of'.

He is said to enjoys his walks but is strong on the lead and does like to bark when he sees other dogs, which may be as a result of his recent experience of fending for himself.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Angus is a lovely boy and with some reward-based loose-lead walking training his family will be able to thoroughly enjoy heading out on adventures with him.

"We think Angus may have been a working dog, so he wears a muzzle in case he fancies trying to chase wildlife or small furries, but he is perfectly happy wearing it and is always ready to head out on a walk."

Angus is looking for a home where he is the only dog, but he could live with children aged 12 and over.
