RESIDENTS at a Braintree care home welcomed special visitors in an interactive experience.
The Animal Workshops Mobile Zoo paid a visit to Riverdale Care Home, providing therapeutic benefits through close encounters with a range of friendly animals
Residents interacted with animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, lizards, giant millipedes, meerkats, and Petal the skunk.
Riverdale's Lynda Inch said: “We recognise the importance of providing meaningful activities that promote happiness and fulfilment.
"We believe that interacting with animals can have a profound impact on the emotional and mental well-being of our residents.
“Everyone had a fabulous day and our residents are still talking about it now.”
Animal Workshop Mobile Zoo aims to entertain and educate audiences of all ages.
During the event, the Easter Bunny greeted each resident, posing for photographs and sharing hugs and high-fives.
Regular entertainer Joanne Lee came along for the extravaganza singing classics, adding to the Easter atmosphere.
Home manager Renata Sulugiuc said: “The spirit of Easter reminds us of the importance of love, kindness and community, and we are grateful to have shared this special day with our residents and families.”
