A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash which led a busy road to be partially blocked.
A crash in Bradwell village affected both lanes of the A120 last Friday at around 4.30pm.
The incident included a motorcyclist and a car and both Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to the scene.
Due to the crash, both lanes of the A120 road faced congestion, with eastbound congestion going all the way back to Marks Farm Roundabout in Braintree.
On the westbound side of the road, there was congestion back to Coggeshall at the time.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just after 4.30pm on March 1 to a road traffic collision in Coggeshall Road in Bradwell involving a car and motorcycle.
"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
"The motorcyclist, an adult man who had sustained a shoulder injury, was transported to Broomfield Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
A spokesman for Essex Police confirmed the force's attendance after receiving reports of the collision.
Upon attending the incident, the spokesman said the motorcyclist's injury was "not thought to be serious".
The man's current condition is unknown.
