POLICE have arrested two teenagers on suspicion of dangerous driving and theft of motor vehicles in Witham.
The incident took place on the morning of Saturday, January 27, after police received reports of two suspects breaking into outbuildings.
Police searched the area an hour after receiving the reports, arresting a 17-year-old and 14-year-old on suspicion of dangerous driving and taking a motor vehicle.
Residents in the areas of Cypress Road, Cornwell Gardens, Glebe Crescent, Church Street and Holly Walk are now being asked to come forward with any information or doorbell footage which could help the police with their investigation.
Essex Police can be contacted on 101, and anyone with information should quote crime reference number 338 of Saturday, January 27.
A spokesman for the force said: “Residents should also contact us if they believe they have been the victim of a crime, and take care to ensure their vehicles are safely secured on their property.
“In an emergency always call 999.
