A RESTAURANT in Braintree has reached the final of a national award.
Hasturk, a Turkish restaurant at Braintree Village, is among the finalists in this year's British Kebab Awards.
The restaurant has been named as a finalist in the best value restaurant category.
The British Kebab Awards, in association with Just Eat, celebrate the best of kebab takeaways and restaurants across the UK.
There are 20 award categories ranging from best Greek restaurant and chef of the year to best takeaway and best restaurant.
This year marks the 12th awards ceremony.

A panel of judges made up of experts in the culinary field have put together the shortlist, highlighting the contributions of standout establishments.
Hasturk is open Sunday to Thursday between 12noon and midnight, and between 12noon and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Its website says the team have "20 years experience in the restaurant industry" between them.
"With an array of meat dishes to freshly caught seafood and wide selection of authentic appetisers, you can be assured everything at Hasturk is carefully sourced and deliciously prepared and meets our standards," it says.
The family-run Turkish restaurant say it offers a "modern twist" on Turkish cuisine.
