A MAN has been charged in connection with an assault in Witham which left two people injured.
Officers were called to reports of an attack in Allectus Way shortly after 12.10am yesterday, Sunday, January 7.
They found a man with a wound to his neck and a woman with an injury to her thigh.
Officers established they had been assaulted at a green near to the Premier store there, and both victims were taken to hospital.
A 57-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Steven Hedges, of Coronation Avenue, Braintree, has now been charged with two counts of GBH with intent and one count of possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, January 8.
