TWO new food hygiene ratings have been awarded to establishments in the Braintree district, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows - and it’s good news for them both.
The Angel pub in St Mary's Square, High Street, Kelvedon, was handed a five-out-of-five rating after an assessment on December 20.
Essex Pizza And Chicken, a takeaway on Bridge Street, Great Yeldham, was also given a top score of five on December 28.
Food hygiene ratings are completed by the Food Standards Agency, a government body responsible for food safety and hygiene in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
