A BRAINTREE primary school has made a lifesaving piece of equipment available for wider use.
Beckers Green Primary School has had a defibrillator available within its school offices for several years.
Now, thanks to a push to expand community availability of this lifesaving equipment, a cabinet was recently delivered to the site.
However, a fully qualified electrician was required in order to fit the cabinet safely for use within the wider community.
Rob Ward, of Rob Ward Electrical Services, whose wife is a teacher at the school, agreed to fit the cabinet after completing his usual day's work.
A spokesman for the school said: "The cabinet is now located outside the school reception and will be added to the community network after the half term break.
"Thank you to Rob for supporting the school in its efforts to support the wider community."
