A BEAUTY pageant contestant says she is "passionate" about raising money for sick children in need.

Leanne Griffiths, a mum from Braintree, has been successful at becoming a finalist for popular show Top Model. 

She hopes to raise awareness and funds for the Top Model Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving and changing the lives of children and young people in the UK.

Leanne is raising the money as a part of the Top Model 2023 Public Vote Awards, where finalists are required to raise a target of £500.

In 2013, she made a life-changing decision to provide her son with a better support network and through "sheer resilience and unwavering dedication", she has transformed her life and embraced her dreams.

Since 2021, she has relentlessly worked hard to build her modelling portfolio, overcoming personal challenges along the way.

She said: "I feel excited to attend my official coaching day, which is on September 5, and a separate fitting day in preparation for the day.

"I am also excited to see what my personal designer is creating for my personal outfit in which I am so thankful for her support."

The finals are set to take place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on September 16.
