RESIDENTS have been left with no electricity due to engineers having to carry out emergency repairs to the power network.
UK Power Networks has sent its engineers to tackle a high-voltage overhead electricity line fault, which has left residents without power.

The power cut, which the electricity network operator was made aware of at about 3am, is impacting properties in the C M, CB10 2, CM6 3, CM6 4, CM7 4, CM7 5, CM77 6, CM77 8, CO2 7, CO2 8, CO6 5, CO9 1, CO9 2, CO9 3, CO9 4, EN5 2 and EN8 8 areas.
UK Power Networks, whose engineers are currently investigating and trying to fix the issue, hope the power should be restored between 11.30am and 12.30pm.

A spokesman from UK Power Network said: "Our engineers have just called in to advise us they are still waiting for traffic management to arrive and be set up safely, before our staff can carry out the works to re-connect the overhead cables that are laying on the ground.
"Unfortunately, it's going to take us past our current time frame to complete this safely.
