A ROAD is likely to remain closed “for some time” after an air ambulance has had to be called following a crash.
The B1018 Cressing Road in between Witham and Braintree has been closed in both directions.

A spokesman said: “The closure is likely to remain for some time and the air ambulance is in attendance.”

An East of England Amublance Service spokesman has confirmed a patient has been taken to hopsital with serious injuries after the incident.
A statement reads: "One ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Temple Lane Cressing this afternoon, after we were alerted to a road traffic collision.
"One patient with a serious injury was transported to Broomfield hospital by road ambulance."
