A MICRO farm is looking for volunteers to help with its lavender harvest.
Finchingfield Camping is a family-led micro lavender farm which began in 2018 when owner Julia Dimmock and her family changed the nine-acre wheat plot into eco-friendly wildflower fields and a one-and-a-half-acre lavender field.
The 27 rows filled with 4,500 deep purple lavender grosso were all hand planted with the help of friends, family and neighbours.
Julia is now seeking volunteers to help with the annual harvest, which will happen at the beginning of July, to produce lavender oil.
Each volunteer will have an opportunity to enjoy a picnic and tea on the breathtaking fields with a lingering aroma of freshly cut lavender.
Julia said: "We are looking for volunteers who are up for a community harvest on our lavender farm.
"Our fields are in a beautiful location, and the rows of lavender look absolutely fantastic.
"We are thankful for all the help we will receive as we currently have around 30 sign-ups, and for those willing to help, we will prepare a picnic that volunteers will be able to enjoy on the field."
The farm is also offering camping holidays as well as workshops and events.
