THE opening date of a new coffeehouse has been confirmed.
A new Starbucks drive-thru is coming to Braintree, with bosses now confirming the opening date of the store.
The firm said: “Breaking News! We are delighted to confirm our opening date.
“Doors will open on Friday, March 10, at 6am.”
The statement also revealed the first 100 customers in the café or drive thru will get a free reusable cup.
The opening date was first teased in January, when new signs were put up saying the shop was “coming soon”.
The site is just off the Galleys Corner area, near the A120 by Braintree.
The new venue will join the existing Starbucks at Braintree Village and the growing number of chains available at Galleys Corner, including Tim Hortons which was introduced just last year.
It will replace the old Frankie and Benny’s restaurant which was demolished in 2021.
The Restaurant Group, which owns various restaurants including Frankie and Benny's, announced the closure as part of a mass exodus of various company-owned restaurants at 125 locations due to the impact of Covid-19.
