COLCHESTER United are on the lookout for a new head coach following Matt Bloomfield’s decision to leave and join League One team Wycombe Wanderers.
The U's are weighing up their options, with chairman Robbie Cowling considering whether or not to appoint an external head coach again or promote from within.
Speculation has already started regarding who will replace Bloomfield.
Who would you like to see take over as the U's new boss?
And former Braintree Town boss Danny Cowley has emerged as an early favourite for the role, having parted ways with Portsmouth earlier this year.
His odds are 4/1, according to BetVictor
Former Forest Green Rovers manager Ian Burchnall and Charlton Athletic manager Ben Garner are also in contention for the role, with odds at 6/1.
Ex-Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City manager Lee Bowyer is also priced at 8/1.
Liam Manning, who managed at MK Dons, is viewed at 10/1 for the role as is former Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell, who it is understood was in the running for the position before Bloomfield's appointment, last September.
Former Peterborough United boss Grant McCann is viewed at 12/1.
