A NEW Scout group has been set up for girls and boys aged 14 to 18 years old in Silver End.
The group formed in the winter of last year and recently all the young people took their Scout promise to become the founding members of Silver Arrows Explorer Scout Unit.
One Scout said: “My experience with Explorers has been amazing.
“We have already done many fun activities such as quizzes, scavenger hunts, tomahawk throwing and abseiling.
“I love how Scouting pushes you outside your comfort zone with the thrilling activities’.”
Another added: “I’m looking forward to going camping in the future and to start the Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
The group meets in Silver End on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9pm, and is also open to anyone aged 14–18 from surrounding villages or towns.
No previous Scouting experience is needed.
