THE family of a pensioner who was killed in a collision have paid tribute to her following the tragic incident.

Phyllis Willis, 84, died in a collision last month.

Essex police officers were called to Parsonage Road in Takeley at 3.20pm on Monday, September 26, following a collision involving two vehicles.

Mrs Willis, who was from Rayne, near Braintree, was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was partially closed while emergency services were at the scene.

Today, her family paid tribute to her saying: “Our family is devastated by the sudden loss of our mother. She was a mother to five boys and grandmother to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
