POLICE are attempting to identify the owner of jewellery they believe may have been stolen from mid Essex.

The jewellery is believed to have been stolen in the Braintree, Halstead, or Chelmsford areas.

The items were discovered after a vehicle was stopped on the A14 near Brampton on September 8.

A police spokesman said: “Items including this jewellery were recovered and we are trying to identify the owner.

Brent Blackburn, of Esholt Lane, Shiply, West Yorkshire has been charged with attempted burglary in connection with the investigation.

The 33-year-old is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on October 10.
