A GRATEFUL pre-school has received a donation of much-needed outdoor play equipment from a Braintree crematorium.

The Park Pre-School in Halstead is a privately owned facility for children under five, including those with additional needs.

Staff at the school encourage children to learn and explore through play wherever possible and are over the moon after landing the equipment from the Three Counties Crematorium.

The play equipment was presented to staff by Sarah Gott, business leader at Three Counties Crematorium and memorial consultant Trina Paulyn.

A variety of toys were donated including a mini trampoline, a play water feature and gardening tools for multi-sensory play.

Pre-school owner Heidi Kennedy said: “We are over the moon with the kind donation of outdoor play equipment to our school.

“The children are already making the most of the sunnier weather and are thoroughly enjoying their new toys.

“We would like to say a big thank you to the team at Three Counties Crematorium.”

Mrs Gott said: “We are delighted to have been able to support The Park Pre-School through our donation.

“I am proud that we can continue to give back to the communities that we serve.”
