A COLLECTION of songs are set to be brought to life as part of musical production being staged in Witham next week.
The Witham Singers group are preparing to bring to life the songs of Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
Burt Bacharach is an American composer, songwriter, record producer, and pianist who composed hundreds of pop songs from the late 1950s through the 1980s, many in collaboration with lyricist Hal David.

The Witham Singers are presenting What The World Needs Now, a programme that will include 1960s and 1970s hits such as Dionne Warwick’s Walk On By, the Carpenters’ Close To You and Aretha Franklin’s I Say a Little Prayer, as well as the song in the concert’s title, originally recorded by Jackie de Shannon, and others.
The concert is at the United Reform Church on Monday, April 4, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available on the door at £5.
