UPCOMING and ongoing road closures are continuing for drivers in and around the Braintree district.

Drivers in Braintree surrounding areas should be aware of six National Highways road closures this week.

One of which is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

On the A120 eastbound and westbound from Marks Tey Roundabout to Marks Farm Roundabout, it is closed due to emergency horticulture, where cutting and planting works are being undertaken on behalf of Ringway.

It is causing slight delays of just under ten minutes, and will be ongoing until 5am on March 5.

As well as this, the A120 westbound, from Galley's Corner Roundabout to Great Dunmow West, there is a carriageway closure due to carriageway reconstruction and renewal on behalf of National Highways.

These are causing moderate delays of ten to 30 minutes, and is in place until 6am on April 23.
