THE number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals in mid Essex is falling, along with those admitted to hospitals too.
Hospitals in mid and south Essex were caring for 163 patients with coronvarius as of last Tuesday, latest figures have shown.
NHS England data shows that the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 was down from 245 on the same day in the previous week.
The number of beds at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 increased by 24 per cent in the last four weeks, 28 days ago, there were 131 beds occupied.
The latest figures also show that 192 new Covid patients were admitted to the trust’s hospitals.
This was down from 216 in the previous seven days, which is an 11 per cent decrease.
The East Suffolk and North Essex Trust was caring for 92 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, which was a 24 per cent decrease, down from 121 on the same day the previous week.
