A BEAUTY business is a finalist for a set of awards after its hard work throughout the year.

Beauty-licious by Georgia in Witham has announced it is a finalist in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2022, in the Nail Tech of the Year and Best Gel Nails categories.

Georgia Cronshey, 23, from Witham, runs the business and said how proud she felt being recognised.

She said: “I feel so proud that the Hair and Beauty Awards UK have had a look at my work and shortlisted me as a finalist this year.

“This was definitely a pinch me moment for Beauty-Licious by Georgia.

“I have worked so hard and such long hours to ensure I am providing customers with a service that they are happy with.”

Georgia says she has always had an interest in beauty and decided to take courses a few years ago, following by beginning to do beauty treatments alongside her old job.

However, she dreamt of having her own business, and eventually decided to take the risk.

She said: “I have always wanted to be my own boss, but I never truly thought it was possible.

“But I started to get more and more inquiries and bookings, so I decided to take the plunge and become self-employed in 2021.”

“I now truly believe if you put your mind to it, you can do anything you want to do.

“I do beauty full-time from my beauty room within my home.”

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrates the hair and beauty industry in an aim to support both small and large businesses.

Now, Georgia is hoping to win an award to help her business grow, hoping that she can one day open her own salon.

She said: “Winning this award would mean the world to me and my business.

“I think in this industry it is very hard to get recognition that you deserve, so this would just be an amazing moment.

“If I won this award, it would help my business to grow and succeed and get the recognition it deserves.

“I am so excited to see what this year holds for me, and I hope that one day I can open my very own salon.”
