A mother of three who murdered her boyfriend destroyed his family's lives and her too - say top cops.

Hannah Sindrey, 23, of Worcester Drive, Rayleigh, was found guilty by jury at Basildon Crown Court yesterday morning. Paul Fletcher, 31, was stabbed at a flat in Worcester Drive in the early hours of January 1 last year.

Judge Samantha Leigh told her she had “had enough” of what she perceived was going on and lost her temper. The court also heard Mr Fletcher had hit Sindrey on a number of times previously.

Her co-defendant 25-year-old Kelly Blackwell of Retort Close, Southend was found not guilty of murder.

On Thursday Sindrey was screaming and swearing about the man as she was taken down.

Senior investigating officer Julie Gowen, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “This has been a challenging and intensive investigation as my team tirelessly pieced together the hours and minutes which led up to the death of Mr Fletcher in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

“Sindrey’s actions have not only destroyed the lives of Paul’s family and friends, but also her own family.

“Today’s outcome can never bring Paul back, but I hope it can bring his family some justice, and can give them some peace to allow them to move forward with their lives.”
