POLICE are appealing for information or witnesses following an incident involving a gun which saw a man arrested in Great Leighs.
Essex Police are carry out enquiries into the an altercation which too place at around 7.30pm on Thursday, January 13.
Reports say several men were concerned in an altercation in Shimbrooks after a red sports car collided with a parked vehicle causing damage.
It was also reported that a man was seen with a gun.
The red sports car left the scene, followed by a grey Mitsubishi.
Police arrested a man, 34, on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been bailed until February 9.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers are continuing their enquiries in the area, resulting in a high police presence.
"We would ask that if you know anything about the incident, to approach one of these officers and let them know.
"We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident, or have captured the incident on dash cam footage, to contact Chelmsford CID via 101 and quote crime reference 42/10723/22."
