TWO of the late greats of the music world get the tribute show treatment at Witham Public Hall in the New Year.

Gaz Keenan performs his Lennon Retrospective on January 15.

Gaz is an accomplished musician with more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry.

The Lennon look-and-sound-alike appeared on ITV's The Big Audition in October 2018, winning through the auditions as the best John Lennon to secure a job with one of the UK's top Beatle tribute bands.

Since then, Gaz's passion for the Beatles and Lennon led to the conception of John Lennon Tribute UK.

He has put together a professional band of musicians with years of experience playing theatre venues in leading tribute acts, and the Lennon Retrospective has been created to deliver wide appeal as well as a highly authentic Lennon/Beatles experience.

The two-hour, fully costumed show takes fans from Lennon’s early work with the Fab Four through to his later solo work, faithfully recreating Lennon's soulful vocals, rugged guitar playing and caustic wit.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and tickets are £15.

The following night sees Steve Mitchell bring brand new theatre show George Michael Live to the Public Hall.

The joyous show celebrates the music of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters of all time

The concert features a full live band and is a heartfelt and authentic tribute which takes audiences on a musical journey of George's greatest solo hits and high energy Wham tracks.

The show is based on George's 25 Live tour and audiences are treated to stunning musical arrangements and exciting versions of songs such as Fastlove, Faith, Careless Whisper, Outside and Freedom in an unmissable homage to one of the most loved artists of his generation.

Tickets are £19.50 on 0345 017 8717.

Tickets for both shows are also available from the visitor information centre at Witham Town Hall.
