A KIND-HEARTED boy will be combining his passion with compassion, as he raises money for charity.

Henry Domain, ten, from Sible Hedingham, is a go-kart racing driver, who will be dressing up as an elf in his next race to raise money for charity When You Wish Upon a Star.

Henry is competing in the TVKC Autumn Cup final round at PF International Kart Circuit on Sunday December 5.

Whilst everyone else on the track will be in their race suits and normal attire, Henry is dressing as a Christmas elf.

Following in the footsteps of his dad and grandad who were both kart drivers, Henry has been driving since he was four, competing in weekly races.

He competed in the British Championship this year in his first year in Cadets, finishing fifth and being named top rookie.

Henry aspires to be an F-1 driver one day.

He is hoping to raise as much money to possible for charity When You Wish Upon a Star, saying how he hopes to help grant wishes to sick children.

The charity with the mission to grant the wishes of children living with a life threatening illness.

Since 1990 they have granted over 18,000 wishes across the UK.

Henry has hoped to help this charity for a while and is very excited to dress up.

He’s had great support from his team at Oliver Rowland Motorsport.

They are having special paint schemes and stickers made up on their karts to help support the fundraiser.

The idea was thought up by Henry’s mum Abbie, after he said he wanted to help the charity.

She said: “Me and my partner talk about the charity and their work regularly, Henry must’ve overheard and he wanted to shave his head at first!

“But I looked on their website to look for other ideas, one of which was an elf playground walk.

“Instead of that which is harder to organise, we went with an elf race, I am so proud of him.”

Henry has raised £815, which is still rising.
