THE mayor of Witham has officially opened a new kitchen showroom business in the town.

Angela Kilmartin carried out the grand opening of Kesseler Kitchens’ new showroom.

The mayor cut the ribbon to complete the official opening before staying to chat with residents and business owners.

She also joined the crowd in enjoying a cooking demonstration from a Smeg technology economist.

Kesseler is a furniture manufacturing company that was founded in 2009.

The family-owned business specialises in made-to-measure kitchens.

With showrooms now across the country, Witham’s new one makes ten in total in the UK.

Abi Akintunde, owner of the Kesseler Witham franchise, said: “It was absolutely brilliant to see so many people join us for our launch on Saturday.

“The feedback was amazing from everybody – people loved the displays and the cooking demonstration, and we’re so happy to be here in Witham and can’t wait to design some stunning kitchens.

“A huge thank you to the mayor, Angela Kilmartin, for opening our showroom and spending so much of her time with all of us.”

About 50 people attended the event, exploring the different ranges of kitchens.

The showroom, in Newland Street, is spread across over 1,000 square feet and displays Kesseler’s range of kitchens.

It is open Monday to Saturday and for walk-ins with no appointment needed.
