A CASUALTY had to be taken to hospital after being involved in a rush-hour smash which partially shut down a section of a busy.
Emergency services were called to Coggeshall Road, in Bradwell, shortly before 8am on Tuesday after receiving reports of a two-vehicle crash.
As a result of the accident the A120 between Coggeshall and Bradwell became partially blocked and drivers found themselves backed up along the Coggeshall bypass on the Westbound carriageway.

Early morning commuters were also caught up in lengthy queues which delayed traffic on the Eastbound lane towards the Marks Farm roundabout.

Following the arrival of paramedics one person involved in the crash was taken to hospital for additional treatment.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We sent one ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.
"One person was taken to Colchester Hospital for further care."
