It was a great pleasure to visit the Horizon 120 site last week and see the progress on the new £14.7million Enterprise Centre.

This fantastic facility which will help enable up to 150 new jobs per year, has been funded thanks to Braintree District Council and £7million from the Government’s Get Building Fund.

The benefits of this new facility will be felt by our local area for many years to come as our economy starts to recover.

It was also great to see that the infrastructure at Horizon 120 has been completed and hear the considerable interest from companies in relocating to Braintree district, as well as seeing the progress on new constructions for companies who have already committed.

Speaking to businesses in several sectors, it is encouraging that companies are reporting growth, but challenges in recruiting, remain a concern.

As always, your district council will continue to work with Essex County Council, local businesses and our education providers to provide whatever support we can, as our economy continues to recover. For more information, please visit www.braintree.gov.uk.
