Jenny Walker, Sales Director for Bellway Essex, said: “Braintree District Council’s Local Plan recognises an urgent need to increase the delivery of new homes across the district, with Witham identified as a particularly suitable location for residential development.

“The 326 homes we have already delivered at Rivenhall Park and Bluebells have made a significant contribution towards meeting the area’s housing requirements, and the fact that we have a further two developments in the pipeline underlines our ongoing commitment to the town.

“As part of our planning obligations for the Rivenhall Park development, we have also invested nearly £2 million in local services and infrastructure to support the local community.”

Construction work is due to end at Bluebells in January 2022, with the final homes at Rivenhall Park scheduled to be completed in September of the same year.

Bellway has been granted planning permission to build a further 78 homes on land off River View, while outline plans have also been submitted for 230 homes off Forest Road, on land next to Rivenhall Park.
