A CHILDREN'S playground has finally reopened after months of closure due to vandalism.
Braintree Council were forced to close Fisher Field Playground in Braintree in April after the equipment was vandalised.
Now, the council has reopened the playground following some replacements.
Following the "significant vandalism" signs were placed around the park making residents aware of the closure.
The council worked to find a contractor to repair the equipment and the rubber tarmac has now been replaced and is safe to use.
The council said: "We know that many of our residents will be happy to hear that the Fisher Field playground has now reopened - just in time for the summer holidays.
"The park was closed following significant vandalism in April and a contractor had to be sourced to replace the rubber tarmac to make it safe to use.
"We're glad residents can enjoy this area once again, the park is open from today."
