SEVERAL new flats are set to be built in a prime location in a town centre.
Seven new properties are set to be built on Braintree High Street.
The St Michael's House development will comprise of seven apartments, with six one bed flats and one two bed apartment.
Developers HJ Collection chose the location due to the "popular town and it’s beautiful surrounding villages".
Head of distribution, Luke De Stefano said: "The development itself is perfectly positioned within a quarter mile of Braintree station, offering direct links into London within the hour.
"Additionally, the popular town is on the doorstep of the newly named Braintree Village shopping centre, has a large investment plan set out by the council, whilst remaining one of the Top 10 spots in Essex to rent.
"The popular town and it’s beautiful surrounding villages offer a wealth of heritage as well as all the amenities that are needed from any town, yet it has remained a hidden gem and truly provides everything one would require and a perfect place to live, as more people look to move farther afield."
