Braintree's average Covid infection rate has almost trippled in the space of two weeks, with several areas of the district recorded on the Government's hotspot map.
According to the latest figures the district's average infection rate is now 17 cases per 100,000 people.
This is because there were 26 cases confirmed in the borough in the week to June 10.
The average infection rate has increased from 5.2 cases per 100,000 people two weeks earlier.
A map also reveals how many cases were confirmed in each part of the borough in the week to June 9.
Three parts of the district recorded more than three cases during this week, meaning they are included on the Government's hotspots map.
The rest has seen less than three cases, meaning the virus is class as "suppressed" in these areas.
