Police warned residents to lock their cars
AN increasing number of items are being stolen from cars whilst drivers are being distracted.
Essex Police-Braintree District put a warning on Facebook to residents after reports of people stealing from cars.
The suspects are working in pairs around the town whilst one talks to the driver and the other goes into the back of the car to steal.
In the warning police told residents to lock their cars if someone approaches and tries to engage in conversation or ask for directions for any length of time.
