I have been on to both Essex County Council Highways and Braintree District Council to get one of the authorities to gully suck the drains near the pumping station in Church Lane, Bocking, as there are two drains full of mud and therefore the water that runs down the hill toward those drains every time it rains cannot get away.
The result is the road floods, motorists drive through it and if a pedestrian is on the path they get soaked, and not only this the water cannot get get away, it becomes stagnant and stinks.
Neither Braintree Council nor Essex County Council Highways want to take responsibility.
Clearly one of them needs to do something about this as it is not good enough just to let this go on and on, what then do we pay our council tax for?
A percentage of this is used just for roads, highways and footpaths.
