Figures have revealed where in the Braintree district has administered the most Covid vaccinations.
Nearly a quarter of people aged 45 and over are now fully vaccinated in the district.
A total of 28,352 people had received both jabs by April 25, 23 per cent of those aged 16 and over.
Of those to have received both jabs, 24,661 were aged 45 and over – 34 per cent of the age group.

The data reveals variation in coverage for residents who had received at least one dose between different areas.
The area with the highest coverage continues to be Bures Hamlet, Maplestead and Belchamp, with 73.3 per cent of people aged 16 and over given their first dose.
Central Braintree has the lowest coverage as 57.4 per cent have recieved at least their first dose.
Areas with the highest coverage:

2) Panfield, Finchingfield & Bardfield, 72.4%
3) Halstead East & Colnes, 72.2%
Areas with the lowest coverage:
1) Central Braintree, 57.4%
2) Braintree South, 58.7%
3) Bocking, 60.3%
Across England, 11 million people had received a second dose of the jab by April 25 – 24 per cent of the population aged over 16 and over.
That includes 9.4 million people aged 45 and over – 38 per cent of the age group.
In total, 28.2 million people had received at least one dose of a vaccine by the same date, covering 62 per cent of people over 16.
