A brewery has launched a brand-new range of canned beers.
Bishop Nick Brewery in Braintree announced their new venture Bishop Nick Can'd, a selection of four new flavours brewed specifically for 440ml cans.
Nelion Ridley took up the mantle in 2011 when the brewery was established in Felsted before expanding to Braintree in 2013.
Nelion said it has been a "testing time" for the industry during the pandemic, but customer support has got them through.
He said: "“It has been a testing time for the industry but we have been blessed with loyal and supportive customers, a hardworking team and some quality beers which have weathered the storm.
"We have had a lot of fun creating this new range of beers and we hope the vibrancy of our new cans will add some colour to the party now that the great unlocking has begun."
The new flavours include:
- Cruz’d - a big peach-hued West Coast IPA chock full of American Hops
- Roast’d - a decadent Milk Coffee Stout
- Tattoo’d - a New Zealand hopped Red Ale
- Chill’d - a Pilsner-style Lager brewed with German and Polish hops
The brewery was awarded Champion Beer of Britain 2017 for their leading brand Ridley’s Rite.
All three of their best-selling core beers have also won gold in Champion Beers of East Anglia heats in recent years and the same beers were awarded Great Taste gold stars for the bottled products in 2019 and 2020.
Nick and his head brewer, Alexander Ratter continue to hold many of the traditions including using local ingredients.
