Mid and South Essex Trust was caring for 45 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.
NHS data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on April 6 was down from 49 on the same day the previous week.
The number of beds at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 68 per cent in the last four weeks.
Down from 142 28 days ago.
The figures also show that 29 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust in the week to April 4. This was down from 36 in the previous seven days.

Across England there were 2,588 people in hospital with Covid as of April 6, with 406 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.
