A handful of neighbourhoods in Braintree are still recording multiple cases of Covid-19 despite another drop in infection rates.

The Government's Covid hotspots map has shown the area which is recording a rate above 100 cases per 100,000 people.

Witham Town has recorded a rate of 133.5 per 100,000 people and 15 new cases.

The latest available data is for the week leading up to March 26.

And though the rate across the district now stands at 34.1, there are still some areas which have recorded multiple cases of Covid-19 in the past week.

So here are all the neighbourhoods which are still highlighted on the hotspots map and how many cases were reported in the seven days ending March 26:

  • North Witham- 8
  • Marks Tey and Wakes Colne- 7
  • Great Leighs and The Walthams- 5
  • Witham South, Hatfield Peverel & White Notley- 4
  • West Witham- 4
  • Silver End and Stisted- 4
  • Great Dunmow- 4
  • Coggeshall and Kelvedon- 3
  • Braintree West and Rayne

All other areas have a supressed rate, meaning there has been less than three cases recorded in the latest seven days.

The latest figures come as more lockdown restrictions were eased on Monday as temperatures soared across the country.
