DOZENS of snowmen have been scattered around a village to raise money for a school.

The inaugural Rayne Parent Staff Association festive trail has seen families and children go out hunting for 58 snowmen set up across the village.

The snowmen have been made with different materials and their locations marked on a map designed by organisers.

The trail has raised more than £400 for the Rayne PSA.

Co-organiser Emma Wood said: “In a year where so much has been cancelled and so much missed, this wonderful event has been putting a smile on the face of many.

"Whilst some villagers have gone traditional, others have designed snowmen with a nod to the unique year we have had with snowmen wearing masks.

"There are some very funny snowmen, Harry Potter snowmen and even one made from car parts.”

The trail has been running since December 21 and finishes on Dec 31.

Maps can be bought at 38 Shalford Road or Bowmans in The Street.
