Here are the top tips for tonight's race meet at Chelmsford City Racecourse, courtesy of My Racing:

3.45pm - River Wharfe

In terms of the handicap form on offer, RIVER WHARFE has sound claims on his Kempton effort in September and he looks open to further progress back on Polytrack. Nursery debutants The Whipmaster and Kayfast Warrior are interesting.[Steve Boow]

4.15pm - Tommtwohoots

A trip down south can pay dividends for TOMMYTWOHOOTS, who is John Quinn's only runner on the card. The selection is taken to leave his soft-ground form behind now he's trying this new surface on his handicap debut. Fellow nursery debutant Neminos also needs a close look. Arthur's Angel, Banoffee and Nurse Dee are notable contenders (in that order of preference) among those who already have handicap form.[Steve Boow]

4.45pm - Ahlawi

The two clear form contenders are AHLAWI and Aylesford, who finished second and fourth in a 7f contest at Kempton 16 days ago. They are set for an interesting rematch with the latter open to any amount of improvement but, based purely on how they shaped, Ahlawi looks more likely to benefit from the drop in distance.[Steve Boow]

5.15pm - Quenelle D'Or

Two similar types, namely Companionship and QUENELLE D'OR, help to set the form standard. It could go either way but marginal preference is for Quenelle D'Or. Ms Gandhi is third best on form, while a few of the others are open to improvement.[Steve Boow]

5.45pm - Gumra

A race which revolves around GUMRA (nap) who had plenty in hand over 7f here on Monday and will take a good deal of stopping again if in similar form. The likes of Freedom And Wheat, Wilfy and Poetry And Art can battle it out for minor honours. [Andrew Sheret]

6.15pm - Sir Canford

Trinity Girl should not be long in winning after an encouraging first try at this trip recently, while both General Zoff and Bird For Life look capable of being very competitive. However, SIR CANFORD steps up again in trip and that could be the key to another success.[Jonathan Doidge]

6.45pm - Maysong

The suggestion is MAYSONG, who looks ready to strike having posted his best effort of the 2020 campaign last time out. In-form 4yos John Clare and Frow are worthy of respect, while the 3yos Eternal Blush and Frozen Waters remain open to further progress. Full Intention and Inaam are other possible dangers in an open race. Second choice is John Clare.[Steve Boow]

7.15pm - Chinese Whisperer

There were better signs from CHINESE WHISPERER last time in a higher grade of handicap than this so he might be worth chancing with the slightly longer trip also promising to play to his strengths. Bayston Hill's C&D record makes him a must for the shortlist, while Corked has been knocking on the door of late and has a C&D win to her name. Blue Eagle is also respected as an unexposed sort. [Andrew Sheret]

7.45pm - Fortune Finder

Laurentia has thrived on AW of late and ought to give another good account. Zefferino has been performing a little better than his recent results might suggest and could go well but the most interesting runner here is FORTUNE FINDER who is totally unexposed and the manner in which he stayed on for third over 1m last time suggests this return to a longer trip will suit now handicapping.
