AN inspirational woman's daily messages of hope have become an internet sensation

Aife Walsh,from Great Bardfield, starting posting the messages on her Instagram account to help people with their mental health in December last year.

They have become a hit during lockdown and he now has almost 40,000 followers.

Aife, 28, has suffered from depression and anxiety and found positive messages helped her.

She said: "It's been particularly hard for me this year. I lost a friend to cancer and had a change of job which I found very hard.

"I’ve been struggling myself with anxiety and depression and set up this account to share quotes that were helping me and then began writing quotes to help myself stay strong which has now reached so many people.

"I have almost reached 40,000 followers in a few months and I have been able to help so many people during lockdown."

Aife has also set up a small online business.

She said: "I’ve been making self-care cards and wellness jars to help people with their mental health and my small business has really boomed during this time.

"You can open one when you are struggling and there is a quote inside to read."

Aife's messages of optimism have earned her an army of fans.

"I have had some really nice feedback," she said.

"I get daily messages from people saying how much my Instagram account helps them.

"My favourite was from someone who bought the cards I make for her grandmother who has dementia and said they put a smile on her face each time she reads one."

Aife added: "I saw how it helped me and I wanted to help others, but I didn't expect this – it just happened."
