A LOCAL man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the death of a nurse outside the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Shortly before 8.30pm on Thursday a male pedestrian was struck by a Vauxhall Astra on Watery Road.
Staff from Wrexham Maelor Hospital attended along with other emergency services however the man, a staff nurse at the hospital, sadly died at the scene.
On Saturday morning, North Wales Police's Wrexham Town team said: “We can confirm that a 32-year-old man from the Wrexham area has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, causing death whilst disqualified and driving whilst over the prescribed limit.
“He will appear in court this morning.”
