A WREXHAM pub is being placed up for auction as a result of the "current climate".

The Vaults in Ruabon has been placed on the market for a guide price of £150,000 and is listed to go to auction on October 29.

Owners of the Bridge Street pub say "it's a sad time for everyone in the industry", but hope whoever buys the pub keeps it as such as "it's been such a big part of Ruabon's history".

Announcing the decision to put the pub on the market, a spokesperson for The Vaults said: "I just want to say thank you to everyone who made our time here amazing.

"To every friend we made, to the ones we lost, our regulars and our weekenders you have all left a hole in our heart at the thought of no longer being our daily face we see or that one person who dances like a muppet with you on a Friday or Saturday night.

"To all our amazing singers and the people who made our weekend nights 1000 per cent better we love you and we are rooting for every single one of you all to be back at what you do best.

"No matter what happens to the pub in the future it won't change a single one of the memories."
