Can we six it? Here are the best things to do in Brighton following the new government rules.

As coronavirus rules become tighter we are now limited to meeting in groups of six or less.

The new law came into force on Monday, September 4, which means that meeting in groups of larger than six, with some exceptions, is now illegal. 

Amid a rise in coronavirus cases the law change bans groups of more than six from meeting inside or outdoors. 

The law is being enforced through a £100 fine which doubles on each offence to a maximum of £3,200. 

We’ve compiled a list of the best things to do with up to six people in Brighton: 

Dust off the clubs and get a hole in one

An easy way to socially distance yourself is through a game of golf. Non-member tee times at East Brighton Golf Club starting at £25.

A great way to spend a day or just an afternoon, golf is the ideal activity for a catch up with your friends or family and get a bit of exercise

Go on a brewery tour

Wet your whistle with a brewery tour and scrub up on your knowledge of a variety of beers.

Tours are run every Saturday, from March to October, at the Loud Shirt Brewery in Bell Tower Industrial Estate.

Tours last two hours and cost £25 per person. You can learn about the brewing process and the business, there is ofcourse plenty of beer tasting too. 

Try and get out of an escape room

Do you and your friends have the patience and brain-power to get out of an escape room? If you’re up for the challenge then why not give it a go.

Pier Pressue has siz rooms to choose from, varying in difficulty and theme including; mystery at the manor, loot the lanes and a raver quest. 

You are given 60 minutes to crack the code and escape, the challenge costs £30 per person. 

Go bowling

Prices start at £11.19 per adult for two games, there are often a range of offers and discounts available online so be sure to check when booking.

Brave a sea swim
