AN INDEPENDENT gym will be reopening its doors this morning after an enforced four-month hiatus.
Complete Health and Fitness Ltd will be opening up at 8am this morning after getting the all-clear from the Government following the coronavrius lockdown.
The family-run gym, which is based in Benfield Way, Braintree, says it used the lockdown to carry out a thorough clean of its facilities, as well as install new showers.
Bosses say a number of new measures have been introduced to ensure staff and visitors comply with coronavirus guidelines.
They include:
- New one-way system in the reception area
- Floor markings to ensure gym users stay in designated areas and social distance
- Increased cleaning
- Rotation of equipment and machines to ensure each one is deep cleaned after use
- Extra space between all machines
- Maximum capacity limit in designated areas
More than 100 original members have signed up to the gym again and bosses say they are also welcoming new members.
Hollie Redman, who co-owns the gym with parents Gina and Bob, said: “We’re a family business so we let all our members cancel their membership when the lockdown started.
“We were doing online workouts just so people knew we were still here and to help them stay fit.
“All the staff are so excited to open up again and see some friendly faces.
“It has been tough at times but we hope it will feel like business as usual on Saturday which is what we wanted it to be.”
