All of the Braintree district’s constituents should think about the way councillors Graham Butland, Tom Cunningham, Gabriella Spray, John McKee and Richard van Dulken put forward the garden communities.

They should have had a realistic plan before they submitted it to the inspector.

How many years have they been working on the project and they still never came up with a viable plan?

£8million wasted, where did it go?

They are the people who wouldn’t deliver part two of local planning, when I emailed all of the district councillors, most of them were like sheep following the leader in their reply. Most of them said I have passed my email on, so they kept the back door open for speculative development.

The only ones who didn’t pass it on to others were mainly the Green and Independent councillors.

If you don’t live in the areas where speculative development is going on you don’t engage with the problems.

We knew we needed extra homes in the Braintree district but the problem with new housing estates is they don’t do any of the infrastructure until they have built and sold a large proportion of the houses.

There are enough homes already allocated to cover part two of local planning, so why didn’t the councillors know that and put part two in place ?

So where is the infrastructure for the houses they have already started building or built? We don’t see any new infrastructure.

Oh I almost forgot, Freeport is now Braintree Village, looking at the build up of speculative development, it might soon be Braintree Garden Village.

Just look at A120 Galleys Corner roundabout, some people know it as McDonald’s roundabout with all the traffic that uses it for the main B1018 Witham to Braintree Road.

If the slip road is put in place up to Braintree Village from the A120 are there going to be traffic lights on to Millennium Way, how far down the A120 or Millennium will the traffic queue be?

The slip road from Wyevales roundabout on to the A120 towards Stansted is a good idea, it will take away traffic from Galleys Corner roundabout.

The intention from the roundabout people know as Wyevales roundabout is to put in another roundabout serving a development that has the potential of having 250 homes plus an Aldi store.

The homes application by Begin Braintree Ltd has been turned down - at the moment.

Within a quarter of a mile, Gladman have put in an application for 350 homes, with two access points on to the B1018 Witham to Braintree Road, one is a roundabout to join Jeffreys Road, the other is it a junction or mini roundabouts no body knows as yet.

After that, next to Cressing School, Countryside has started to build 225 homes with yet another roundabout.

As the B1018 Witham to Braintree Road is main road when there have been traffic problems on the A120 Coggeshall or problems on the A12 at Kelvedon or Baddow, how much more pollution will it put on Cressing School and village?

It is time for all the people in the Braintree district to look at all the fields being taken over by building sites.

What has our Braintree MP James Cleverly done for his constituents?

Stand together and we can stop our fields disappearing. Some say we can’t stop this, stand up to Braintree District Council so that we can stop the madness.
