A DRIVER was arrested by police after he was spotted driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street in Newport.
When police stopped him, they discovered the driver had no insurance and was also a disqualified driver.
The driver - who was a male - also refused to provide his address, police said.
As a result of failing to give his address, he was arrested and the car was seized.
It comes as Gwent Police revealed that they have seized more than three hundred cars in the last two months.

It is unclear where in Newport the incident happened, but police posted a picture of the seized vehicle at 2.56pm yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman for the force said: "Male driver seen driving the wrong way along a one way street, male also had no insurance and was a disqualified driver.
"The male was arrested for refusing to provide his address and the vehicle was seized."
