CHILDREN of key workers who are still attending school have offered their thanks to the people helping run the country during the Covid-19 lockdown.

A handful of remaining pupils remaining at Elm Hall Primary School have been busy working on a banner to highlight the hard work being done by key workers during the pandemic.

Their work has now been displayed on the front gates of the school in Conrad Road, Witham, and is helping to spread positivity in the town.

Teacher Lucy McCarthy said: "Some of our children have been in this week alongside some of our key worker staff.

"We have been trying to add a little bit of happiness to the world, give the children a focus and help to spread the rainbows we have seen over the town."
