OXFORD Tube services running to London are being temporarily suspended following the government’s guidance to stay at home and stop all non-essential travel.

All of its services will be suspended after Sunday, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire has announced, due to the coronavirus crisis.

Despite running a revised timetable, the number of people travelling on Oxford Tube services has dropped significantly since the national government guidance was issued on non-essential travel and the decision has now been taken to suspend the service until further notice.

“However, we firmly believe that the decision to temporarily suspend services on the Oxford Tube is now the right one based on the current unprecedented circumstances and we hope our customers understand this. Our local services across Oxford will continue to run to a reduced timetable providing a service for key workers to get them where they need to be. Following changes to the city services last weekend we will be introducing further reductions on services from Woodstock and Witney/ Carterton to Oxford and a small number of city services also from this weekend.”
